I've been a Personal Trainer for over 15 years, so I have a wealth of experience helping a wife range of clients with different goals realise their potential, changing habits & lifestyles for the better.
Locally I used to run my own gym at Fusion Fitness, Brough before moving my focus to solely Personal Training.
Since, we've been taking on many challenges with clients, from developing our fun & inclusive Dirty Flipping Bootcamps, to Corporate Bootcamps with local business' such as ARCO, BEERCOCKS ESTATE AGENTS & LANGLANDS GARDEN CENTRES.
My training philosophy is to keep training fun, productive & social. Fitness demands consistency to achieve results, so if we are in it for the long term, we may as well have fun and enjoy the journey!

Hi! I'm Mel.
I'm a level 3 qualified personal trainer and 200hr aerial yoga teacher - who realised she's far too chatty for a yoga studio!
I love helping people reach outside of their comfort zone but never past their limits and am passionate about how strength, fitness and mobility can transform all areas of your life.
Going to the gym by yourself can be tough. I started training with James (of Starkey fitness fame) because I needed accountability, someone to make me do the exercises I would skip myself (urgh triceps) and to help the daunting atmosphere of the gym seem friendlier and more inclusive.
I'm so excited to now be joining the team and passing on the skills I've learned and help you to achieve your own goals.
Outside of lycra I like: good books, terrible television, bread in all its forms, beach holidays, ornamental grasses, black cats, yoga that looks like a nap, clashing prints and my label maker.
Inside lycra I like: Gaining strength, helping people stretch out tweaky backs and hips, fun cardio and being upside down!

Hello, I'm Simonie!
I'm the Nutritionist for Starkey Fitness.
I specialise in weight management, sport and performance.
Although most of the time a good nutritional plan coupled with effective training is enough, we must take into account that we are all different.
Our age, gender, current eating habits, diet history, and genetics, can alter the way our body metabolises food.
Even when we believe we are doing all the right things nutritionally, we may struggle to get the results we feel we deserve.
I have always been highly enthusiastic about nutrition, and learning the ways in which food impacts our body.
I cover everything from your Metabolism (the speed in which our body converts calories into
Energy) to your macronutrient cycle, and everything in-between.
If you're struggling to lose weight, gain weight, or add muscle, I will take a close look at your current nutritional habits and help you to make the changes required to get your body working ‘with’ you,
not ‘against’ you.

Hello, I'm Maisie!
I grew a passion for the gym when I was 17.
I then wanted to learn more about fitness, so at 18 I got my level 2 gym instructing qualification. As soon as I qualified I went into full time work at Cave Castle Health Club.
I carried out one to one training sessions, mainly focusing on the client’s fitness goals and giving overall advice on training, but the most important thing was building their confidence with using the gym.
I have experience in teaching Circuit Classes when James offered me a role taking the Dirty Flipping Bootcamps, which, teaching outdoors was a great experience!
From there I became a Personal Trainer because I love pushing people into a better place not just physically but mentally. I like a challenge and that comes with the job as everyone has different needs and fitness levels. I want to spread awareness on how important it is to invest in your health.
My aim is to help everyone feel confident in the gym and not feel out of place for taking up the space in the gym that they are entitled to.
I love to get people socialising as it’s good for mental health & classes provide a great platform for this!

Hi I’m Alex Burden.
I’m a qualified Level 2 & Level 3 Personal Trainer. I am also Level 3 Nutrition and Level 3 Pre and Posts Natal Qualified meaning I can assist and guide you in every aspect of your life and we can get you to your goal and change your life in a healthy sustainable way.
I qualified as a personal Trainer in 2021, starting my business ‘Alex Burden Personal Training’ in February 2022. I then started Online Coaching about 1 year later. November 2023 I re-branded to create ‘Fearless Coaching’. I created Fearless to make people feel more comfortable and build confidence in every area of their life by prioritising the gym and nutrition choices.
With Online Coaching we dig into every area of their life from the gym, nutrition, movement outside the gym, stress management, female health and a lot more.

WE ARE DIRTY FLIPPING BOOTCAMP - FUN, SOCIAL & FRIENDLY
Bootcamps for local people! Suitable for all fitness levels, be you a seasoned fitness veteran or your very first session, we have you covered!
We currently run two bootcamps a week, both open to the public.
Wednesday Evenings at Brantingham Parks Health Club 6-7pm
Saturday Mornings at The Burrs, Brough 9-10am.
We mix up our Bootcamps each session to keep them fun & interesting. Ranging from HiiTs, AMRAPS, EMOM, CIRCUITS, BOXFITS & MINI GAMES.
We have a great mixed ability group enabling people to feel comfortable in a group setting.
We always hear 'I wish I started sooner' so with that in mind, get in touch & let's get you Bootcamping!
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Before we begin our journey towards achieving your fitness goals, we would like to outline the terms and conditions.
1. All personal training sessions to be booked in advance and cancelled or rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours' notice. Failure to do so shall be charged at the full hourly rate
2. All payments are due prior to the commencement of each session or package period.
3. You are required to inform us of any health issues or physical limitations before starting the training program. Certain conditions may require a doctors clearance to train letter.
4. Success in reaching your fitness goals requires dedication and hard work from both parties - yourself and us as your personal trainers.
5. Unless agreed otherwise, personal training sessions shall expire if left unused after 3 months of the first session.

8. Pricing may increase in line with inflation
9. We always care for each of our clients, providing a friendly atmosphere in which to train in. We expect the same to our team. If deemed in breach of this, sessions may be cancelled with no refund.
